I had the same problem with my pool 16 x 35 20, 000 gallons. I use Leslie‘s algae killer. It did absolutely nothing for my pool.

I first followed the Leslies method the first week, it did nothing. Then I just finished the second method from another yt video, seems to have worked. Brush. qudrauple shock and the algae killer. 24 hours, brush, backwash. double shock. brush. 24 hours. backwash. single shock, brush and brush daily, cu lator in the skimmer. Right now the chlorine levels are off the chart, but I think I've won the battle finally! Just waiting for the chlorine to get back down to normal before checking water chemistry again. Brush daily. 3-4 times/day.

i have a pebble tech pol bottom and i used the black algae from another store and i was told to scrub the heads off and i put 8 oz in once a week for 2 months ( yup 8 weeks) i researched it and black algae can and will come back if you dont hit it for multiple weeks .mine is now gone .a neighbor did his and after a month it started showing out again so the multiple hits seemed to work for me its been gone for several months now. Just added info like your channel

I'm currently using this product tonight which made me come across your video. Leslie's pool place told me to shock 24 hours prior to using it and do not shock again for 5 days I am not sure why but your not supposed to shock after using it.

Are these pools with liners because our pool has a liner and we have a mess

I used the same product and the pool water now smells horrible. I have drained half the water and refilled and the pool water still smells. There is no algae anymore and pool water is perfectly clear, but the smell will not go away. Did you experience this at all?

It would of done better but you did the process wrong you need to shock first and then use algaecide 24 hours later

The proper way to apply this product is to turn off your pool pump, broadcast into pool and let settle to the bottom for at least 12 hours without pump operation.

Your cleaner shouldn’t of been in there while treating the pool

How long did this take? I tried this and in the morning it was exactly the same way as I left it. All these types of videos leave out all kinds of important information. How long, how much, scrub before, scrub after, and what to do next to make it safe to swim. If you post "helpful" videos you need to supply all the information - not just the highlights. Do better.

Algae doesnt have "heads" to scrub off lol. They're millions of individual cells clustered together.
