While the original Spamton NEO is Spamton fused with the Mettaton NEO created by MTT in the computer lab, Junkil here is fused with Undyne the Undying's outfit. An incredible little detail that I nearly missed!

i like how the strings are pulling junkil down, it kinda symbolizes the whole devil and angel motif.

I feel like all of Junkil's songs have a sort of more... bittersweet and somber feel to them than Spamton's do. BIG SHOT is happy and triumphant almost all throughout, this still sounds like there's negativity and sadness in Junkil despite their success.

The Morse Code at 1:30 translates to "YOU COULD DO ANYTHING" a bunch of times around Junkil. There are a few typos across the instances of the phrase though.

I thought that this song is going to be named "do anything" because of the "I can you can do anything" but this name is even better because now it is "I can you can (we can) battle against the world". Also it can be taken as Azzy needing to fight against society because Kris is a puppet to the player and so is Spamton to capitalisam Kris=Spamton, that means that the same can be true for Azzy=Junkil maybe its something like nobody believing Azzy or Azzy being made to look like a joke to the world. Idk this is pure speculation

I love how instead of being puppeted, he’s being pulled down, as if someone’s dragging him down, and at 1:04 he’s struggling to keep pulling his chains, signifying that he’s considering giving up, but then he springs back to action.

A super cool detail is the spiral in his eye that appears from 1:48 . It fades in and out, similar to how Undyne The Undying's spear from her eye does.

I love the energy the vocals give in this, it feels so peppy yet so so intimidating. Also the touch of the stick puppet restraints compared to the strings of spamton is a nice touch

Edit: As I was listening to this, I thought of what the snowgrave route in this au would be, and the image of a full carousel dropping on Asriel before he closes the fountain made me die laughing.

I think that junkil believes that the sticks are pushing him up but they’re actually pulling him down and he’s so caught in his delusion he can’t realize it, kind of like jevil thinking everyone else is in prison but he is so diluted in his insanity he can’t realize it

My first thought was Battle against the world breaks the “Nows your chance to be a big shot/I can you can do anything” pattern… then I remembered that BIG SHOT is Called “Power of Big” in the Japanese localisation (as in “power of Neo”) so it’s still continuing a pattern, just with the name change to accommodate the world revolving and the additional Mettaton Undyne swap (plus “against the world” ties into Junkil being a conspiracy theorist in this AU) Its all very clever


Also the song is very solid. I like how Don’t forget swaps with the freedom motif in this AU
