I'm convinced Canadians have bagged milk just so they can talk about it and blow everyone else's minds

milk inside a bag of milk inside a bag of milk

As a note, the thing about bags of milk only applies to eastern Canada - I’m Albertan and have never once seen liquid milk sold in anything other than jugs or cartons lol

I love how the Britcity of her accent increased exponentially with each subsequent layer of disbelief wrinkling her brain.

Bagged milk only exists to make people who get milk in normal containers say "what the fuck did you just say milk comes in?"

fun fact: not every province/territory in Canada sells bagged milk, it's mostly Central Canada that has this

The thing that canadian always fail to explain when they talk about their bagged milk is how you are supposed to put these "sleeves of milk" in specially designed pitchers which makes the process of pouring the milk out of the bag extremely simple.

the bagged milk thing seems to be just an eastern canada thing from what ive gathered. im from central canada and i have never seen milk sold in a bag once. basically the french canadians are at it again with their crazy ideas

I've never understood why one would use bags given A) it's delicate and just begging to be popped and B) with that much liquid it wouldn't hold a shape. Like maybe they put it in a cardboard box like motor oil. But it still seems easier just to use a fucking jug

I drove across the country recently, they have jugs or bottles in most of Canada just not in the most heavily populated area (for some reason?)
I was so happy when stores started stocking milk normally again that I took a picture.

Sainsbury's in the Uk trialed bags of milk for a while with a re-usable milk jug to aid in the pouring. We thought it was pretty good, but the bags weren't recyclable and it didn't really take off. So no milk bags anymore. Back to plain old plastic cartons and glass milk bottles.

I absolutely love hearing people's responses to "bags of milk" and this one did not disappoint

I was hung up on the milk thing too until she said something and made me have even more questions after that

Cereal or milk first combatants need to put our differences aside to defeat whoever thought it was okay to put milk in a bag

I’m Canadian, and I will say that the “most common” depends on where you live, I’ve lived in BC most of my life, and Alberta for a couple years, I’ve never seen bagged milk anywhere in the stores, always a 4L jug, or 1-2L cartons

In the state we have cartons of Milk in glass bottles, plastic jugs, sturdy paper, and metal buckets. And it cheap and for the glass Bottles you get half the price back if you return it to the store.

Always interesting to hear damn well everyone else react to Ontario's bagged milk.
Granted, I would've liked to experience the olden days of what was basically a milk subscription.

I think some single farmer from Canada stored his milk in a wineskin and it somehow stuck, so either that guy got scammed out of royalties or his grandson owns a good stake in the milk industry.
