This is exactly why neither of the fillers you mentioned should be used it’s also interesting with your natural approach you are using the most unnatural / highest complication risk and client dissatisfaction rate choice of fillers stick to HA only ( still have risks but less) which also last well beyond what they are indicated to last for

Thanks Nerida for sharing your knowledge with us. I believe we are going to see more and more consequences from the use of facial injectables like fillers and Botox. I'm not hating on those who choose injectables but It bewilders me that many people who are so careful about their clean diet, clean skincare and clean cosmetics will willingly inject their faces. I wish we could all be accepting of our beauty as we age and not feel the pressure to have unnecessary procedures that may have negative effects in the future.

Nerida you so fantastic you always talk so openly about different things. I think is so useful to hearing truth about certain procedure. Sometimes we don't realize side effect of procedure.

Hi. New to the channel and love the information you put out. I've slowly implemented a few things to see how I get on with more a regime than I was use to. I'm 40 years old, dark skin from the U.K and pretty sure I'm combination/dry (slightly sensitive also, since cleansing more often. Even being gentle) There's so much conflicting information out there so I'm taking small steps to see what works starting with my cleanser. Currently trying Jordan Samuels matinee cleanser and have just got the rejuvi k cleanser to see which suits best. Next step is a Hydrator and moisturiser I believe.
P.s. How old (age bracket) are you? (if that's not rude as your skin is amazing)

Thanks for the information! I’m looking forward to hearing what the doctors have to say about why this is occurring

The Victorian Cosmetic Institute has a good YouTube about how long fillers last and filler migration. It’s really interesting.

What is the age you would recommend to start getting a little bit of Botox? I’m 23 and not necessarily interested in it but I’ve heard a lot of people talk about how it helps with ageing before you actually start to see physical ageing, idk whether this is true though xx

Thank you, Nerida! Great video, just as all your videos!
I just started the beauty therapy course and I was wondering if you could recommend any books, that would be useful to read, apart from manual? Any topics like skin and hormones, skin and nutrition, general dermatology books, anything that can usefully expand my knowledge!
Thanks in advance!

Hi Nerida, how would you treat the sebaceous filaments? I haven’t had fillers but my skin is congestion prone and I have these filaments and rough texture under my lips on either side above the chin and they don’t go away :(

Hi Nerida, thank you very much for sharing your observations. I had a client who told me she developed hundreds of tiny, raised bumps after one treatment with Sculptra. She said she had to live with it for several months. A doctor told her that effect was likely due to the injector not mixing the Sculptra properly.

Something that might be of interest to you and to your readers is orofacial myology therapy. I've always had cheek and lower facial sagging, and an undefined neck area. This has gotten worse with age. I was recently diagnosed with a tongue frenulum. This did not allow me to keep my tongue at the roof of the mouth. As a result, I became a mouth breather. This resulted in weakness/atophy of my buccal (cheek) muscles and lower face muscles. My therapist said I will be strengthening my facial muscles and therefore get a "mini facelift." Here's a before and after picture of someone who underwent this treatment.
I believe that in the future, we will be able to activate our own muscles to lift our faces. We all need to have our tongue at the roof of our mouth at all times, including when we sleep. I had NO IDEA the tongue was supposed to rest on the upper palate. That will also help you maintain a tight neck. See photo.

Would you recommend mesotherapy of the eye area?

Hi Nerida - how do I get rid of broken capillaries? Also, what do you suggest for non invasive tightening of my jowls and jaw. Thank you!
