The all-new Zwift Ride is Zwift’s latest hardware innovation, designed to be paired with a smart trainer, essentially turning your setup into a smart bike. The bike is compact, easily adjustable, and quieter than ever. In this video, I dig into all the details that you need to know.

Yes please. No more switching out my bike to ride outdoors👍

couple of things that I see that need to be addressed in their next model: 1 need to add a horizontal stabilizer to the front fork. 2. need to unify recharging into a single port (not having 2 separate independent charging ports for the handlebars). 3. 420mm wide handlebars are going to be too wide for most female or smaller stature riders. 4. Need to add a variable crank arm length.

standalone frame would be just awesome. i was thinking about not having to go back and forth through the setup process with my regular road bike every time, and just have a cheap, non carbon frame bike attached permanently to the wahoo kickr.

I am over 6ft 6 inches tall. I hope Zwift will come out with a larger frame or a longer seat post and a longer stem post to allow us taller riders to enjoy the bike.

I think Zwift is missing an opportunity here by delaying the launch of the frame-only version until later in (Northern Hemisphere) autumn. Existing smart trainer owners, such as myself, would be more likely to want an indoor specific bike for the times we can't go out during the summer (short ride over lunch, too hot, too stormy, etc.).

I bought this and has it delivered Friday June 28th, 2024. Set up was easy, Pairing to Zwift was easy. It rides well and does exactly what you want and expect. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

Looks very interesting and well designed... Will need more user/customer info to see how good it really is.

Looks cool but what if you need to replace the chain after awhile? It is a Zwift specific chain? Also can it be mounted on a rocker plate? Thanks in advance.

Great video, as always. Why aren't we talking about compatibility with TCX Neo 2T? I understand Zwift's partnership with Wahoo. But, certainly this should work with a Tacx (and others) also.

Great summary, very interested in this bike. Seems like great design. I asked Wahoo if my Kickr5 was compatible with the HUB and they said no, V5 doesnt support virtual shifting... Personally I'd like to see a belt drive option for quietness, seems this design would just need a hub and front "chainring" swapout, everything else should fit.

I wish they had figured out some type of "climb" function like Wahoo....but I admit it's pretty cool.

Looks like a good setup and idea. Curious to see upcoming progress in the plataform and frame compatibility with another wahoo smart trainers. Thanks for sharing the review and thoughts.

Super interesting video
Any news about virtual shifting on wahoo V 4 and others?

Regarding using the Zwift Ride sometimes without Zwift -- anyone know how many RESISTANCE mode levels you set (should be same as Wahoo Kicker Core since same device)? They show 0-100% but by what increments? Someone at Wahoo told me 5% increments so 20 levels, but I thought I saw a plus/minus 1% control in a Wahoo app example?

I'm a big guy - 6 foot 6 and 260 pounds - is this a good choice for me, or is Stages better?

What Lube would you recommend for the chain?

How aggressive is the geometry? For example, endurance road frame vs. a competitive aero road frame?

Would buy a frame only version for my existing Zwift Hub; I guess they'll release it later on.

Bit of a mistake not making it Kickr climb compatible especially as it's integrated with the Kickr trainer ecosystem. The front foot could do with a shoe of some kind to spread the load a bit. As it is it'll sink into any mat inc the Kickr mat. That, and as Ray has mentioned using buttons instead of shifters is a bit naff. As a v1 attempt it's not bad. Needs work.
