It doesn't let me click on "Set as default"

You basically did nothing, you just kept hovering over random windows and were still pressing cancel after clicking one or two items. Your method didn't help please review your video and post something that gets the job done

Works!! So basically we have to change the default path manually and then click autodetect which takes us to the old path again. And then click ok.

it's funny how i was stuck with this problem for a week now, i tried all solutions in this whole youtube...none of them worked, and it's funny how the problem was that i needed to add .c at the end while saving my file, which i didn't care about cuz it wasn't necessary before
