Hi Eric I tried changing the light but accidentally pulled out a black part I think it's the adjuster it doesn't look broken just pulled out of the socket can I push it back in

Which volkswagen unit is this ? You should have written the model, because different models have different structures of headlight.

Yea mine has a metal box attached to the end. There is no plastic tip and it does not turn. Also my low beam and high beam are the same bulb.
