Turkey-Syria earthquake: Survivor recounts harrowing experience of loss and resilience in Antakya

An earthquake survivor remains grateful for what they have and is hopeful for the future, despite losing their home, vehicle, and savings.

The survivor, who lived in Antakya, the capital of Hatay Province in Turkey, has shared their story of living through a collapsed house. They describe the experience of rescuing their injured sister and the challenges they faced in the aftermath, including finding shelter and assistance.

Peace be upon you, my brothers, the great Turkish Muslim nation, among the Muslim Arabs, your brothers. We are one nation. Our joy is one and our sorrow is one. We ask God to protect Turkey, its people, its leader Erdogan, its army, its security forces, and the police, and to protect Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and all of Turkey and the Turkish world. The ambassadors and the war against Turkey with the support of America and the West, temple guards, separatist Freemasons and terrorists from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and the fight against tourism, the lira and Erdogan’s government is evidence that the earthquake was left behind by America and not a natural event.
