That kick sound is ridiculously amazing

Lars's drumming on Justice was incredibly modern for '88, soundwise and musically.

That double-bass blast beat burst after the first chorus just charges you up.

Nailed it! I love that weird turnaround that happens at 5:08 at the end of the solo where he shifts the rhythm to being a standard four-on-the-floor in terms of kick/snare for a few bars then switches back to the typical verse rhythm with the snare on the and/offbeat

The Only 100% correct Blackened drum cover on youtube (or anywhere else). It is very important to play the kick pattern like he does between 0:30 and 0:50. Most covers don't get this right. It's also important to play the slow portion with the Emotion it deserves - otherwise it doesn't carry the proper "energy", and he understands this. The tricky 3:39 and 5:10 sections are spot on. Every cymbal crash is placed correctly, no unnecessary (or missed) hits. Goddamit, THAT's how you cover a song!

In my opinion AJFA, James voice was monsterous!!! Still my favorite Metallica album after all these years.

A groundbreaking album for metal, ahead of it's time despite the bad production and non existent bass.
Lars pioneered the style and sound of metal drumming for years to come, to be solely judged on the latter part of his career is utterly unfair.
Despite all the negatively regarding Metallica nobody has ever come close to taking their place in History and never will.

My favorite Metallica song. Yeah Lars ain't that good anymore but when AJFA came out, there was nothing like it. Nobody had brought the drums up front and made them as much a part of the music as the guitars and vocals til Lars did in Justice. This album changed metal and drumming for me. Everybody hates on Lars now but I'll always love the guy for what he meant to me coming up as a drummer and this album in particular.

All over the internet, there isnt a single proper cover of the song Disciple by Slayer despite it being one of the most insane works of Bostaph. Even Josh Steffen hasnt covered it, Angel of death and war ensemble. Request from my side, plz do Disciple.

Hey 66Samus, Cliff Burton called from 1984, he wants his hair back. Excellent cover, btw. Party on, dude. 🤘 *[air guitar]* 🎸

With bass turned up on my computer....wife said it sounded like an earthquake then I realized....it was good. Who knew Marty Friedman could kick ass on the drums. Well done!

The moshing around 5:15 was awesome. You're into it, and this is a GREAT cover. Nice work.
