When the Grey Knights and the Inquisition arrived they could not believe there eyes, bodies lay every where. Even the Grey Knights where stunned not to find imperial corpses but rather Chaos corpses every where they looked.

Word Bearers lay dead with shovels slammed into there necks or multiple shovel's slammed into the gaps in the armor of there power armor, bayonets stabbed into the necks of Chaos Astarte's. Even Blood Pact members lay dead and strung about as if they where not retreating. One of the Inquisitor's walks forward and steps next to a dead Krieger, that springs to life grabbing the Inquisitor's ankle the Inquisitor pulls away in horror. The Grey Knight spectating is stunned that a mear mortal could have such will power, the Krieger crawls himself forward dragging behind him his own organs and a bundle of melta grenades'.

The Grey Knight then hears more scuttling but sounds more like dragging of metal, and the sound of gears, turning his head slight to the left and down the Grey Knight see's what the Krieger is crawling towards. The Inquisitor stumbles next to the Grey Knight watching the two crawling and mutters in a confused tone "A...Khorne Berserker fleeing?"

The Red armor is unmistakable, the chaos Astarte's legs are completely crippled. Bits of shrapnel and....shovels are slammed into every part possible. Blood completely covers the Berserker but as it crawls into a crater, the Krieger follows behind arming the bundle of Melta Grenades'. The slow beeping of the melta grenades' quickly quickens as the Krieger looks at the Grey Knight for only a second before throwing himself into the Crater.

The following explosion is enough to make the Inquisitor fall onto his knees and shake the ground, The Grey Knight walks forward to the Crater and looks down into the molten rock and metal and kneels for once in pure awe. Then he blurts out "What type of monsters are you to make even Khorne Berserker's flee?"

Depending on how you understand warp rules, if enough kreigsmen kill daemons with their shovels, then those shovels will become more effective against daemons in the future. Given enough time and repeated daemon slaying Kreig pattern entrenchment tools may well achieve extreme potency against daemons.
