AmazonBasics Professional USB Condenser Microphone Review / Test

Today we’re looking at another new budget USB condenser microphone from AmazonBasics, the AmazonBasics Professional USB Condenser Microphone. This is clearly trying to copy the Blue Yeti, Samson G-Track Pro, and the M-Audio Uber mic, but it fails miserably. This is a perfect example of throwing too many features in one device, and not mastering any of them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MICROPHONE! It's obvious that this mic has got you cranky. Your reasons for disliking this product are carefully and clearly articulated; your findings and conclusions supported by your testing profile which every one of your microphones goes through. You're consistent. Hopefully that's enough to put any haters off. Negative reviews are useful and not just because they recommend against a particular product. They also put the seller/maker on notice and make them slightly accountable for trying to fob off some horrible shyte onto the market. Good onya for being so passionate about your "job".

These Amazon basics mics are interesting to say the least! Not what I expected.

Amazon literally made a new USB condenser microphone exactly how you said in the recommendation. They have analog dials and an OLED display

Amazon took your advice. The new one has analog knobs and a screen to show which pattern is engaged, headset volume and gain.

The newer version of this mic has physical knobs now and I think the mic sounds pretty damn good. I would lay money down that if it was put in a blind test and nobody knew it was the Amazon basics brand it would do well against other mics. Just my thoughts.

This mic actually sounds pretty good. Cheaper, but still has a very nice sound. Gonna recommend this to my crew, been meaning for everyone to get good sounding mics for YouTube

I'd say It's not better than Yeti. It's not significantly cheaper too.
