That's... actually a very clever idea. Heck, you could add a matrix like story to this.
On an old pacman arcade, someone reaches level 256. Pacman, faced with this glitch, realised he's a video game character and wants to escape this hell of endless loops. So he ventures to outrun the glitch that tries to reset him. At the end, he escapes and vows revenge on the human race for the endless torture. Revealing this was all a prequel to the movie "pixels".
