In England we have 1000 year old bridges that are still in use today and get maintained when the bridges need it

Why don't Americans have affordable healthcare, education and housing like they did in 1950s ?

At this point, the entire 4yrs of this administration needs to only focus on infrastructure. 1. Determine what roads and bridges to work on. 2. Determine what cities need overhaul water treatment plants. 3. Overhaul electrical grid. 4. Install EV charging. 5. Setup high speed rail

That time again huh? Neglect. The one thing Americans are really good at.

A strong country needs good infrastructure, not just a strong military. The Pentagon has too much money. The politicians need to shift a big chunk of money from defense to infrastructure.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why we as a nation gets chinchy with pursestrings when it comes to our OWN growth, health, wealth, and happiness.

America may need to take a page out of China's infrastructure plans...in the long run spending on infrastructure will pay off more than what was spent on it

The US spent nearly $2 trillion in the war in Afghanistan. In just a decade, China spent $1 trillion to build the largest HSR system in the world.

Said it for years.... you spend trillions on bombs and tanks etc. But not on healthcare, education and yes, infra.

So now you have trillions debt, totalling at about 265 trillion and it's crumbling. Thank the gop for a large part and way too much personal spending on credit for that.

Infrastructure ?
China : we plan it today, and we do it tomorrow....

USA: we plan it today, and we debate tomorrow, and keep debating, keep next

Wait until the power grid fails! Utter chaos! I am married to a high voltage lineman for 30 years, he has said for years how bad of shape the lines are in.... It is a huge failure of maintenance. NOT GOOD!

first time i visit NY. i thought US is modern & fantastic infrastructure.

but i'm wrong.
i think i don't want to visit country with full of fake again. you never show how so many tent near the roads, hobo, bandit, gun man, slums, aged infrastructure make me feel uncomfortable and not feeling safe to travel in US.

the country that's you are insult (China), they are very advanced in entire aspect. they have public infrastructure feels like luxurious class in US, No Homeless or beggar (everyone can spot homeless & beggar in china unless you are part of them.) no bandit, no gun man.

i feel safe traveling in china.
for western foreigner, you can visit china & US, and compare the entire aspect.
