The gray area right now is for those of us that needed a VISA before the pandemic. I have a multiple entry VISA that is not yet expired and we have no information yet if it will be reinstated/valid starting Oct 11.

Very helpful video. I'm going to Japan next week. The My SOS app wasn't too tricky and it only took a few hours for my vaccine card to get approved. I uploaded a photo of my CDC vaccine record card and I got the blue screen (which is the screen you want). So seems like CDC card is enough.

Arriving in Osaka Oct. 12 to visit my girlfriend… downloaded mySos app last night. App turned blue about 30 mins after submitting/answering all the requested info/docs. Super easy after all the anxiety 😅. Japan here I come! 🥳🎉😊 Thanks for your updates..gave me peace of mind coming in 👍

Paid a Japanese tour agent over $1000 to get our visa arranged. We thought all was well and arrived Oct 9th. We were promptly deported back to the US on another 12 hour flight. No exceptions made for her mistake. United charged us for the fare difference as well
