Bitchin' machine! Mine is a 72 EB3, had to go in with my dad to buy it for my 17th bday in 85 ( reaganomics made him redundant). That short scale fit me well as I'm 5'5". It didn't have that thump that all the metal heads wanted to hear back then, but the mudbucker through a Fender 135 tube amp and I replaced the varitone with a preamp made them all shut the F up! I made my own 2x15 cab and the rest was history. Finally did score a 74 Pbass A and a 78

Excellent work...but you know a graphite nut stays in tune....bone....is a nightmare....

Who keeps the bridge cover on that? I had a grabber for a long time and that was the first thing that went. You can’t do mute with those things.

I always imagine… the people who built that guitar are probably mostly or perhaps all of them - gone at this point. Probably most lived paycheck to paycheck. And, America was a different place
