Maithili Thakur sings Lord Shiva Bhajan on PM Modi’s request at National Creators Award 2024

At the first-ever National Creators Award, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the Cultural Ambassador of the Year award to playback singer Maithili Thakur at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. The National Creators Award honours significant voices across over 20 categories and accolades. Maithili Thakur is an Indian playback singer who specialises in Indian classical and folk music. She has performed original songs, covers, and traditional folk music in a variety of Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Maithili, Urdu, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Tamil, and English.
