Older android versions don't have diagnostics in device care, but you can type that code in the phone app and enter in the old school diagnostics menu.

Yup so glad we have these diagnostics on current Samsung phones. I always run them once or twice a month to always make sure things are running as they should.

The s23 is actually pretty repairable for a new smartphone, although the s22 and I believe s21 also were not very repairable

Short answer, yes Androids are easier to repair but the parts can be expensive at times.
