3rd shot should have been a cross shot, not a down the line shot and should have rushed to the net for a volley. She hit down the line instead, and moved back. That was a wrong decision.

She's obviously not comfortable volleying, she was at the service line, instead of advancing to the net and take command of the point she backed up to the baseline. Bad choice.

She definitely carried a he ball on the strings ( held the ball on the strings too long ) spraying it wide . This often happens when contact point is not hit out front but a fraction too late. When hitting late the appeal is to over correct. The ball doesn’t care how you feel . Sometimes when players set up a point perfectly they will hit the ball late knowing they are going to hit a finishing hit for the point trying to hit with more power hit it late .
