Agree. overall like this plug in once I got a handle on using the hum. Easy to over do it. Like the improvements they made.

It's funny that people want the " hiss" when the point of digital was to get away from this and get cleaner mixes. My Ramsa console I feel is fairly quiet but when I turn all faders up and listen through the output with no sound I hear some hiss. A lot of the time I have heard people will complain about the hiss. So why is it desirable? I guess the advantage here is that you could go back to your mix and just take it all off the mix where as I can't do that with my console.

I like to ask if this plug in will work on the MBP with the M1 pro chip. Appreciate your input. Thank you.

Oversampling is done to prevent eq cramping also known as anti aliasing..

If you really wanna hear what oversampling's doing, overdrive the preamp with a sinewave and sweep it between 5k and 20k ; )

Hi Dave, oversampling extends the Nyquist frequency limit so that harmonics are not folded back down into the audible hearing range. Aliasing is when frequencies that are above the Nyquist limit (which is half the sample range e.g 48khz Nyquist limit is 24khz) cannot be reproduced and so to replicate those frequencies they are bounced back into the frequency range, but they are not even or odd order harmonics, so they do not relate to the fundamental frequency and are consider 'inharmonic' and can muddy a mix. Typically aliasing will occur with saturation plugins or compressors which generator harmonics the more you push them. Aliasing does not exist in the analog world, it is a digital phenomenon.

You should try the VCS-1 ch. strip by Fuse Audio Lab. I'd be curious to hear what you think.
