Those are nice, I've used duct tape very successfully. I make my own arrows, shafts, fletchings and all. The duct tape is very durable once it set on the shaft and lasts for years. It takes a little bit of getting used to on getting the tape just right. You can shape the fletching any way you want and colors are basically unlimited.

I have some of these made up and I take them with me to the woods just incase 😉 they really do shoot as good as feathers! Such a shame they are not allowed in TB class at NFAS open shoots and comps.

AAE vanes that I like the most are aae max, aae wave, aae hybrid also the cheapest aae ep 1.6 and ep 2.3.. there are a few who say aae EP is easy to come off, it doesn't stick strongly to the shaft, I just use the cheapest 401 Korean glue 3 seconds and it sticks well..

I can see the convenience at this time of year, but you can't use them for TBH class under NFAS rules as they aren't feathers.

You can sing in the rain, dance in the rain, why not shoot your arrows with plastic vanes in the rain :-). Take care, be safe, and thank you.

I would never shoot any vane off a read bow shelf. Y’all need to see a feather in fight in slow motion, just as it leaves the string. It flattens down against the base of the feather. Totally out of the way. No vane will ever do that unless that slice it in ribbons like a feather. So vanes should never be a thing. I also have hunted in pouring down rain and my feathers go flat, but they all still shoot perfect. For me, rain is nothing on a feather.

Joke: tell, don’t show 😂. Seriously, shoot feathers & vanes dry. Dunk them in water & shoot again…of course, tell us about it, no need to show us 🙈
