why on earth was walker prefered over TAA who is arguably the most inform right back in europe? Why take kane to Portugal when he is clearly not fit? why play delph when he hasnt played for city in months? Very poor decisions from Southgate yesterday that cost us.

Wrong choice of players. Rice, Berkeley, Chilwell, Stones, combined un cohesive non team. Southgate got it wrong.

It's not the worst result in the world. The Dutch are, currently, one of the best teams in the world. Given that we could, but for inches, have been 2 goals up, and that Sancho's clear header was straight at the goalie could have made it even better. The Dutch goals came from our mistakes more than their craft. To get here we had to beat Croatia and Spain. I think the team is heading in the right direction. In another season or two we will have more of our extraordinary young players in the team.

Frenkie de Jong just outplayed the English midfield. The problem is their midfield that lacks quality.
Had England had a better midfield those defensive mistakes would not have been made.
