The only one who can hope to beat Ma Long is Fan Zhendong after 1-2 years, when he gets a little older and perfects his technique.

Ovtcharov is trying to beat Ma at his own game - power attacks. That is a huge mistake. The person who beats Ma Long will be very creative. Not always going for topspin power. Placing short balls and blocks mixed with long shots. Putting in shots that are very unexpected. Perhaps a hybrid defensive/attacker. You can see on those balls that he gets back that he knows exactly where Ovtcharov is going to go. Ma Long is the master of the modern attacking game. You can't beat him playing that game.
