The continuing adventures of an amateur fly fisherman on a stream in Arizona. It's a beautiful Sunday morning and I am ankle deep in 45 degree water looking for that elusive 25" brown trout!

@Bartzy3

Hey Bartzy! Really appreciate the feedback. Will give that a try when I hit the Black River in May. Thanks!

That was a nice place to fish but you were fishing it all wrong .  When possible always approach the stream from the down stream and fish up stream . The fish are usually faced up stream waiting on lunch to float by . Fishing from the side of the camera you want to cast up-stream and let the fly drift down to the fish . This is a more natural presentation and the way a trout source actually appears . Trout are lazy and usually wont go out of their way to chase food especially upstream . Where you have the room,  cast up stream at a 45 degree angle and let it drift to a 45 degree angle downstream . Hope to see you on a stream one day . Good luck .

Plus all the fish are looking upstream waiting for food. If you stand upstream they can totally see you.
