The only owner of the shield was Howard Stark... Others just possessed the shield

So technically the US government was the 5th owner, and Walker was the 6th.

Never thought I'd hear the phrase "Honorable mention to the government." without someone being held at gunpoint.

The Shield that Cap gives Falcon in Endgame is a new shield, not the same one from the past movies. Steve went back in time to after he was frozen, meaning the shield he originally had is still frozen with the Steve Rogers of that time. The biggest ways to tell the two shields apart are that the new one has grooves within the white stripe, and the star has slightly different design of engravings on it.

It's unknown if it's also made entirely out of Vibranium, or if it's the comic book material of Proto-Adamantium.

Point of Order: The shield that Cap gifts to Falcon at the end of Endgame isn’t the same shield from the movie “Captain America: The First Avenger”. It’s from a different time line, that’s why it looks different!

“Owners of the Shield”

I see The Stark’s that made the shield, but didn’t really own it. I see Captain America and Falcon, they owned it. *The last dude ain’t even worthy to lift it.*

Nahhh bro don’t give that government an “honorable mention”…they totally disrespected Steve when they gave John walker that shield…and even more, when they didn’t take it from him at all when he started going rogue! So…in my opinion, the government is just as dishonorable as Jonn walker…

Only in the MCU. Howard Stark didn’t create the shield in the comics, Dr. Myron MacLain created it by accident while trying to make impenetrable armor for the US government for tanks in WW2. It was the only piece made made and was later given to Captain America by FDR. Captain America #255 (March 1981).

Technically, the shield Cap gave Falcon, was not the same shield he used. Thanos destroyed his shield, and the shield given to Falcon most likely was made by the Wakandans, or another one made by Howard, but kept with old Cap, until he gave it to Falcon.

Tony Stark gave it back in 2019, not 2023. Tony died in endgame in 2019
