Fan Edit: Orcrist Glows Blue (The Hobbit)

I've always wondered why Sting glows blue while orcs or goblins are nearby and yet the other swords forged in Gondolin didn't. This is the only clip I plan to do this effect on.

It would be amazing to see Orcrist and Glamdring glows just like Sting.

They have flashbacks when Ecthelion of the Fountain going meta on their bottoms.

What's interesting is in the original it appears that the shiny blade scared the goblin (assuming most audience members don't know of the special material).
Meanwhile here the sudden glowing sword in front of a dumb goblin. Makes sense it'd be startled, then the goblin king can explain.

Perfection! Would love to see a tutorial on how you went about editing this. In an ideal world, I'd love to see the same treatment to Glamdring, but obviously it would be out of continuity from LOTR. Awesome work as ever dude!

Awesome clip. Btw Orcrist among other swords glowed blue in the original books.

I think you did a great job! I saw some saying it would look to much like a lightsaber but I just see a blue glowing orcrist! Looks great!

This makes sense as to why they didnt do it. Cuz he had this thing draw always and is always near goblins or orcs so this thing would have been glowing fucking constantly lmao

Orcist should have glowed blue and glamdring should have glowed white

Maybe you can do a video fixing the shots where Sting is supposed to be glowing blue but doesn't for some reason.
