Easy HOMEMADE BUTTERMILK PANCAKE Recipe | The simple way

Y'all I am an Aunt Jemima girl, so I normally don't make my pancakes from scratch BUT LET ME TELL YOU these were 🔥🔥🔥 SO DELICIOUS😩!

For this recipe you'll need

2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups buttermilk (plus 1/4 cup extra if needed)
1/3 cup melted, unsalted butter
2 eggs
2 tsp pure vanilla extract


*NOTE
To make buttermilk make sure that your milk is room temperature FIRST before adding lemon juice!

I used almost 2 cups of buttermilk in this video, BUT if you want your pancakes to be thicker then use 1 1/2 cups!

Makes 12-15 pancakes (depending on how large)

TO MAKE BUTTERMILK

2 Cups Milk (Room temperature)
2 1/2 tsp lemon juice
Let stand for 10-15 minutes

I made these yesterday and I must say!!!... The pancakes were beyound delicious! Moist! Fluffy! Crunchy ends! Flavorful! Unbelievably Outstanding!!! I said I would only eat 1 but ended up consuming 3!! Im so glad the stores were out of Pancake mix. Sometimes it takes being inconvenienced to bring unknown special treasures out of us! 😊😊❤❤

This recipe will firebrick be my go-to recipe!

Those look amazing. I searched "pancakes from scratch" and scrolled until I finally found yours becuase yours was the only pancakes which looked like they had the crispy edges!!! Crispy edges are a necessity! Do other ppl not know this? Mind-blowing!
P.S. I use butter for the pan and it still gets the edges nice and crispy. You just gotta get the skillet good and hot. The butter might brown sometimes but I haven't really noticed a difference in taste when it does. Using oil seems way easier though. I might have to try it. I just love butter so much I like to use it as often as possible.

Realized I was out of pancake mix...totally eye balled the ingredients here and amazed by the results! Even better than the box mix! Thank you so much!💗

Btw, didn't have lemon and used a couple teaspoons of apple cider vinegar instead...the combination was perfect!

White vinegar in milk also makes a nice buttermilk, if you don't have lemons on hand.

This is exactly how my mom made them, the crispy edges beautiful color. The only thing different is she used corner of spatula made 3 slits in each pancake after turning so it cooks through. Perfection madam.

Had a craving for myself so halved the recipe! I used a GF flour and Goat kefir for the buttermilk, is delightful:) Will definitely make again! Thank you
