I have heard this sound effect THOUSANDS of times in my 40 year life! it's been in EVERYTHING! LOL I've wondered for a while what the whole date/time/place it was recorded in, or at least what decade. Now I know. LOL

I wish I had these sound effects. Precious childhood sound effects we heard from our favorite movies and shows, we cherish them so even if they were overused alot, we didn't give. These sounds struck our emotions dramatically as kids no matter what the scene.

This was exactly what I was looking for today. I remember it from countless things--- the Twilight Zone episode "Night Call" with the bedridden old lady, some episodes of Little House on the Prairie, and tons of movies and cartoons.

The first one i've heard in "Stormy Weather (1943)", "Shock (1946)" and other 1940's classic 20th Century Fox movies!

It was also used on Green Acres (my all-time favorite show), Petticoat Junction, Mayberry R.F.D. (in the episode where they go camping), Yours, Mine, and Ours" (the 1968 original with Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda, and in The Green Promise; the 1949 movie where Natalie Wood developed her lifelong fear of water.

Basically, it was used in a lot of movies and TV shows.

At 0:13 seconds a second thunder sound was used in the Green Hornet Strikes back serial then later used in The Wraith in the scene when the Turbo Interceptor was neutralized by Rughead's Digital radio killer while being chased by Sheriff Loomus and his deputies.
