Apparently the Russians are restoring this thing, very cool... Please don't send it to Ukraine.

In all seriousness, I couldn't find this ANYWHERE on YT and I ripped it off Discord. If the creator of this video doesn't want it on YT I'll delete it.

One of the coolest prototype tanks of all time a real piece of history and engineering i hope they wont damage it (it does not have parts unlocked yet)

Man, changing a road wheel on one of the inside tracks would be a technical nightmare.

I've always pictured Object29 as this gigantic monstrous vehicle considering what it was designed for. Here it looked...just a taller tank compared to its contemporaries.

Weird how no one else has posted this and it sort of just came out of nowhere. Hopefully it's real and it's a one-of-a-kind artifact being restored to running order!

I always thought each track would have a form of differential steering such that the inner tracks would turn slower than the outer tracks during steering. It looks like each pair of sprockets is driven together as one. No wonder this tank was a pain to manoeuvre

This feels illegal to watch so I hope you don’t mind me saving it

One example of the tank survives on display at the Kubinka Tank Museum, and was restored to running condition in 2022. That's what I can find

Now if we can just get the IS-7 up and running....

Armor design on this thing is absolutely masterful, amd even if treads are hit there's two redundant ones for backup.

There is a Russian version of this video which has longer duration and confirms this was in Kubinka. And it was posted close to 2 weeks ago

Edit: Link is in the reply section

Repairing the inner set of tracks has to be a nightmare.

This is absolutely magnificent. I am so happy to see one working and being driven like this.
