I don't usually comment, but this time, I have to say something. I'm a 63 year old white female gun owner living in rural Arkansas. I grew up in NJ in a die-hard, dyed-in-the wool republican family. I'm also a registered republican. My dad and younger brother are eyeball deep in the maga swamp, and no amount of trying to bring the receipts and sending my brother links from places as neutral as possible, since if I send him anything even remotely left-leaning he rejects it off the top, make a dent in his way of thinking. I've given up on even trying with my dad. He's bought into the train of thought about how Kamala got her job, which, as a woman who worked in a male dominated field from 1981 to 2014, I found that to be offensive and told him so. I simply do not understand how they can be so blind and deaf.
I remember what happened when this raving madman was in office, and I'm extremely concerned about what'll happen if he gets in again. I'm disabled and live entirely on a small pension and disability, and the cost of medications for my multiple sclerosis is high even with insurance. I've recently been diagnosed as being diabetic, so keeping the cost of insulin down is also very important. I'm worried about losing my house and my means of living.
I'll be voting blue all the way down the column in November, even if it means being disowned. We're not going back! 💙🌊
