Environmentalist Bill McKibben and his group Third Act, along with Valerie Rockefeller and her group BankFWD, are pushing for people over 60 to cut ties with banks that invest in fossil fuels. They joined CBS News to discuss how the initiative aims to force financial institutions to address the climate change crisis.

Clean and renewable energy is a great goal, and someday we will reach it. But for now, setting limits on when it has to happen when the technology is not there to support it is really unrealistic.

My question is what companies have the 890 million dollar Rockefeller fund invested into ? Are these investments beneficial to the planet ? If so keep up the good work ! The transition from oil will happen when changes in technology offer a less costly alternative . As of today the oil and gas industry are too important for the welfare of million to just shut off .
