Some are running such low vac on the PCV System it's been disabled. That leaves all the contaminents in the crankcase to break down oils that are far better than 30 years ago. 70% of Blow-by are HC's combined with other acidic level byproducts and just left in the oil.
If you drive 5 miles to work and back all bets are off. That oil doesn't stand a chance of not sludging up. Low Tension rings is more Blow-by, Low Vis oil 20W and less, more Blow-by then you have this engine.
