Mild Orange - Rubicon (Official Video)
Показать описание
Over 15 hours of footage, 18,500 kms in a van, 21 shows, and visiting 31 states went into this 3.5 minute film celebrating North America. We hope you find something new in it with each viewing.
'Rubicon' was the first song we wrote when we moved to London. There's no going back once you commit to a move across the world like that, especially as a group. We had a great set up in NZ and this move could have destroyed the band, but instead it's given us a fresh start and made us stronger together.
We've been enjoying leaning into a bit more of a country twang sound lately, so it felt right to pair it with footage we shot while touring around North America last year with Phum Viphurit and Brandon. Rob shot most of this on good old VHS and 16mm to match the grit of the song. Such an incredible place, and epic to met many awesome people on our travels.

Looking like
We’ll play a new hand
Walk the line
Like a jazz dance
Oh keep me up now
Keep me up now
So much light
On a new path
The call of urban echoes
On a new star
Keep me up now
Keep each other up now
Are you ready and focussed
Or feeling rather uncertain?
Now I know
You gotta learn to love
To be loved
To be beloved
And soon enough
You’ll have enough
Don’t you see
You’ve got nothing to lose
Just lay it all out
You’ll wanna stick around
Every night I think of our southern stars
Our country life was so advanced
Keep it up now
Keep me up now
Keep each other up now
Keep me up now
