As an Vicar in Australia I quietly quit, heart broken but convinced I could not stand with a church leadership walking away from 2 thousand years of orthodox truth found in scripture. I wish you well, 2 years on it’s the best decision I ever made.

I am a member of the Church of England and the Church in England. I was Christened in 1954 and I can read the Scriptures and 39 Articles and BCP as well as any Bishop or Archbishop can. If the hierarchy is apostate then they have no more authority than I have. The High Priest is Jesus and He has my loyalty. Maranatha.

I left the Episcopal Church (American Anglican) over 20 years ago, when they consecrated an openly and actively gay minister to be the Bishop in my diocese (New Hampshire). Apart from one funeral, I have not stepped foot in that church since.
I didn't leave the church - it left me.

I grew up in the Anglican Church and reside in Canada where so many Churches here have strayed from the teachings of the Bible to bend the knee to political fervour. God and the Bible must not be modernized under any circumstances. What is happening to the Church of England is a tragedy and so wrong on every level.

Bravo Vicar! I do so hope that all the Vicars who are leaving start a new church. I no longer attend C of E but I will attend anything you guys start.

The church has always been there for sinners. But sinners are supposed to repent and change, not change the church to allow the sin.

When looking for a new church, the Anglican were not even on the list, I will not sit under false teachers who celebrate the works of the flesh and call it the fruit of the spirit.

Our vicar felt convicted to leave the Church of England... he has just finished his gardening leave and is now allowed to lead our new church - Christ Church South Devon as from this Sunday! We hope to come under the 'Anglican Mission in England' Diocese which is holding fast to doctrinal truths and is linked with GAFCON... representing 80% majority of Anglicans worldwide. We are really looking forward to coming under Godly, respectable Bishops and happy that our vicar will now find support from a network of likeminded leaders rather than adversity at every turn!

I retired from active C of E ministry 3 years ago. Since retiring I have held the Bishop's licence to preach and lead services. When LLF was introduced I returned my licence and told the Bishop that I wish to resign from ministry as a result of LLF

Leaving the CofE and joining the Free Church of England was the best decision I ever made.

Continued prayers for you Rev Dan as you hold fast to God's word. I trust you know God's blessing and strength as you stay true to your calling. Be assured that despite the challenges you face you are an encouragement to many.

I am a Roman Catholic, a lay person. I disregard totally all messages that are against the doctrine of the church. I got to mass receive Holy Communion and pray putting my faith in God.
Reverend Dan pray, put your faith and trust in God and ask Him for guidance. He is the only one we answer to. And in all honesty follow your heart. Something that you already know, anyway.
I shall remember you in my prayers.

Do take care of yourself. You are important in the grand scheme of things, and there is no point in running yourself into the ground! Hopefully you will find support from under, and alongside, rather than over. God bless you.

I was Christened C of E 1962. I was always very proud to be an Anglican although growing up mostly in Canada surrounded by Catholics. In 2006 after significant life trials I felt I needed to go to church to find my way back to the God I loved. So I went to an Anglican church service a few times. I saw the writing on the wall so to speak and there was no way I could in good conscience attend a church blessing same sex marriage. Same sex marriage is none of my business as far as people go. I love all people as we hate the sin not the sinner. But a church calling itself Christian following some version of the King James Bible was where I needed to attend. Sorry the Anglican Church was not this. God bless you. 🙏♥️✝️
