I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

I'd put Mantis as #1, imprinted and leveled you can knock out even 150 Rexes with a single prim club in seconds, if you spam the pounce attack instead of the slash

Once again, a video that really makes me with that the original cave creatures would get a TLC.
The Araneo and Titanoboa are just so sad (we can put the Scorpion here too, but it wasn't initially cave exclusive like the others).

The Araneo should really get a new model + animations, the ability to wall climb, and some more web-based gimmicks.

The Titanoboa should be outright reworked to become a proper constrictor. Give it a new model that better uses some of the new technology ASA has (so it moves less awkwardly) and make it larger. I don't think it should be a mount, instead it should be an all-purpose "bear trap" that you can tame (snaring anything a small or large trap could). During which, it would slowly apply torpor and a low amount of damage to the victim (having a setting that makes it automatically release the target on KO).

Then there's the Scorpion, which should just generally be bigger and utilize its pincers more for combat (perhaps functioning like a mini-Karkinos that can't throw things). Then make it so its stinger has a special meter for inflicting more potent torpor-inducing venom.

Mantis, even with prim clubs will out do an equis. But I will say that an equis is better at traveling them the mantis. we also use pachy with about 1000 melee base dont work as good as the mantis but they sure are fun. for use Mantis is 1 and pachy is 2

Btw crazy to say this but basilisk can actually apply torpor onto targets and i was able to ko alot of creatures with it in a few bites but it probably not a good option to ko dinos with but it can XD

Gonna be honest, this top 10 is too early.
Should've wait for Cryolophosaurus to be in the game officially.
It's an S-tier Knocking Out Dino.
Knocking out with range attack (which is safer than melee attack) that dealing torpor damage and slowing debuff, and being able freezing the enemy so it wont go anywhere.

Araneo should be given the net launcher ability. Instead of the Gen 2 harpoon gun as it ruined PvP. Only once tamed as running caves would be hell 😅
