Your videos are sooo well made!
It's actually crazy that you "only" have 90.000 followers.
Keep doing what you do! The planet will thank you.

going for a long run is probably my favorite way to experience a new town I'm visiting. coincidentally enough, I spent a few days in Victoria a couple years ago and happened upon a wild peacock in the park while on a jog. something about it felt so spontaneous and special (I later learned they're everywhere in the city, but hey). nonetheless it sticks out as a unique memory from that trip.

Can’t believe I watched a full ten minute ad with intermittent philosophy and ENJOYED IT

I love this video. My girlfriend and I traveled to Japan for 10 days at the beginning of the year and we had all carry-on. Looking back at it now though, we both agree we could have packed just 1 duffle bag together because we didn’t even touch over half of our clothes. 😅 I miss traveling and exploring new places without an itinerary.

I 100% agree with spending more time in 1 location! Gives you an opportunity to see the "sights" but also but get lost and discover things you might not have along the way. We LOVE walking as much as we can in new cities, it allows for so much freedom in discovery.

Starting in 2010 I have only packed carry-on luggage with me on trips. Airlines charge too much for checked bags and I don't want to risk my bags getting lost. I've never had a problem with not having enough clothes. A standard carry-on holds so much! In 2018 I got a mini-wheelie- carry-on and I've used that on every trip since then. (plus a backpack as my personal item) I just put more planning into my outfits, make sure every top can work with every bottom, I use layering for weather variations, etc. When I travel I never rent cars and usually take public transit to and from the airport, so having less luggage makes life a lot easier and saves me from the back and shoulder pain that I get carrying heavy bags. I'll never go back to a full size suitcase, when I used to use one I ended up not even wearing half the stuff I packed.

Visited San Francisco several years ago. The best part was when we walked from one place to another place.
We were meeting someone for lunch and had a few hours to kill. So much fun

I dunno. I guess it's the start of a conversation but there's much more nuance to it. Travel was commodified to make it accessible to non-rich groups. Travel and having the time to stay for an extended period while traveling is a privilege. Heck even staying or getting shown around by a local, implies you either have extensive friend networks (like for those that go to university) or that you feel safe staying with people you don't know as well which isn't always possible with women.
It's good to keep in mind using less environmentally harmful forms of travel and being more deliberate in our travel choices but there's a certain level of gatekeeping that we can fall into when discussing this topic.

This is awesome. I’ve been traveling like this (as much as possible) for my travels for years. I also find that Airbnb is a great way to meet local people and get great local food and place recommendations.
