[Hubsan Zino H117S] Adjustment Camera Focus!

My Hubsan Zino was out of focus since I bought it.I decided to adjust the lens.
In the end, my ZINO had a good result at the point where the lens was turned 2mm clockwise from the factory setting.
If you do not get good results by turning clockwise, turn it counterclockwise.

I scratched the fuck out of my lens accidentally trying this method. Luckily I was able to get a replacement. Make sure you have a steady hand.

The best video I saw this year! I was very frustrated with Zinopro because I had this problem mentioned here in the video!
I updated the firmware and nothing changed but when I saw this video I was impressed to know that someone had opened the camera and solved the problem with just a manual adjustment, I encouraged and did the procedure, I was amazed with the result after the adjustment, now it's perfect ! Congratulations to the creator of this video helped me a lot and will still help a lot of people!

Thank you very much for this video. I bought a Hubsan zino from Banggood a couple of weeks ago. I was looking forward to create some good videos with the Zino but got very disappointed after the first flight. The video was out of focus and after searching videos at YouTube I found information that there was some focus issues with the Zino. This was probably solved with a new camera firmware (about eight months ago). So the focus problems on my new Zino should not be related to firmware. After making the lens adjustments I went out this morning and tested the Zino camera. It was a big difference. Maybe I will make some additional adjustments on the lens to get it perfect. Many thanks!! After these adjustments I am pleased with My Zino. The gimbal keeps the horizon straight witch I could not get with my other drone, SJRC f11. I hope that SJRC will follow the good example that Hubsan has done with the Zino. But...a big BUT...Hubsan must be better with the factory quality check. It should not be the users/buyers that are fixing the problems.

Hi. My Zino was completely out of focus. I followed your instructions and holy cow! I can't believe the difference. Clear, sharp images. I was fairly nervous taking apart the camera housing. Crikey, its pretty snug in there.

Anyway, thanks ever so much for uploading this video. It saved my Zino.

Thanks for taking the time to post the video. I just got a Zino Pro and was very disappointed with the video. It was just like your video out of focus on one third of the screen to the right. I followed your video and it made a big difference to the focus. I was going to return the drone but have decided to keep it now thanks to you.

Thank you for this. I'm frustrated that Hubsan have still not addressed this. I have only just bought my drone so only a month old, the seller shipped a new camera and the new camera board was just the same. I have gone back to the original camera as i have made adjustments which seem to have improved. As per other comments i recommend removing the cable from the board, it's easy to unplug and put back in.

I am very impressed that I found this video :) Few days ago I bought my Zino, and because at the weekend I have place where I can test the results is that camera have big problem with focus, video is very blurred and noises and problem with focused. It little disapointed but I am not give up with this. So first idea today is to maybe replace camera to better if it possible. I not find anything. But now I find your tutorial and see differences. So we will see, I will adjust this as you showed and next week will see effects - and I will also check possibility of unplug this Ribbon Cables :) :) I will send you information in comment did this help to solve my problems :)

That's a great video. Sometimes factory does'nt have the same adjustment on each aircraft. I was thankful my Zino has a perfect factory adjustment. But later if i feel it gets blurred due to movements. I need to follow this instruction. I think it will help.

Seriously. I mean come on Hubsan! WTF. I had this problem with my H117S zino. Thanks God for this video that helped me fix it. Then upgraded to a Zino Pro.... Same exact problem. I mean seriously folks. What's up with Hubsan's quality control? Now I have to take apart the camera assembly on the NEW drone. Almost bought a Mavic mini....but they tend to blow

I adjusted the focus on Zino black edition. I will advise to unplug the camera unit from it's cable. Under the pink foam You will find the plug. In this case it's much more easier to do adjustment ( since my lens was turning really hard) and the short cable will not be damaged.
Ps . Before adjustment image quality was really bad ( all blurred out) and I was thinking to sell the drone, but I was shocked about improvement after adjustment. Turned clockwise just a couple of millimetres. Good luck all ;)
