Humans have been aware of the power of the wind for a long time. The first automatic turbines that could turn air into electricity were built at the turn of the 19th Century by Charles Brush. However, it wasn’t until the 1970s, when the oil crisis fueled the hike in oil and gas prices, that wind energy became more widely used. Since then, wind energy, aided by technological advancements in recent years, has flourished. But the real challenge to the dominance of conventional wind turbines comes with the breakthrough of mind-blowing wind rose turbines.

Which is more eco friendly, a home that has wind and solar power or a home that is on the grid but has a lot of trees around it? The use of wind and solar require a fairly clear area around a home for them to be effective. This clear area however means the home more subject to the effects of weather. They require more heating ands cooling to maintain temperature. Also the trees provide a natural filter to pollution and reduce carbon dioxide, resulting the home surrounded by trees having better air quality.

This reaks of scam. All tests performed thus far show that horizontal axis turbines are always more efficient than vertical axis turbines. What is the point installing thousands of these tyrbines just to replace a single commercial wind turbine? It wouldnt be cheaper or more efficient for sure. Unlike solar panels that require basicly no maintenance at all, wind turbines are subject to wear and tear. Something never mentionetioned by small wind turbines installers. And if 5 turbines work more efficiently together, then why not produce units of five turbines powering a single shaft connected to a single generator? Or maybe they prefer to sell you 5 standalone units? I wonder why. Maybe because it's a scam. And just because a turbine is barely spinning at low wind speeds it doesn't mean it's producing any useful electricity. Scam. Oh, and what's this about 1 sq meter footprint turbine producing twice the amount of electricity of a simple solar panel when installed at a relatively windy place? A sq meter of solar panel worth about 100 dollars. I doubt this turbine costs 200 dollars. Scam

My local regulations prevent wind turbines on semi detached houses, only detached houses can have them, things need to change.

It's an interesting design, but guys please be realistic. There's no hope 6 m turbine would produce 5 kW or 10, 000 kWh (incorrectly marked as kW in the video) as claimed. 5 kW may be the size of its generator, but it will produce much much less.

Total rubbish. In order to be any good wind turbines must be sited where the wind speed is high and there is space to make them big. The maximum efficiency of a wind turbine is 59%. Nothing can better that. The power output is proportional to the cube of the wind speed. The vast majority of people live in areas with very low wind speeds. That means that, with very rare exceptions, domestic wind turbines are not useful. Flower turbines are yet another gimmick that will not be any good in residential areas. At sites with good wind potential the default design is a horizontal axis wind turbine and the reason for that is that horizontal axis is far better. The fact that one of these turbines can start up at very low speeds is irrelevant. They are generating practically no electricity at these speeds. Avoid like the plague.
