Показать описание

An interrupt is an external asynchronous input that informs the microprocessor to complete the instruction that is currently executing and fetch a new routine in order to offer service to the I/O device.
Once the I/O device is serviced, the microprocessor will continue with the execution of its normal program.

Correction at 7:50

Maskable Interrupt : An Interrupt that can be disabled or ignored by the instructions of CPU are called as Maskable Interrupt
E.g RST6.5, RST7.5, RST5.5

Non-Maskable Interrupt : An interrupt that cannot be disabled or ignored by the instructions of CPU are called as Non-Maskable Interrupt.A Non-maskable interrupt is often used when response time is critical or when an interrupt should never be disable during normal system operation.
E.g Trap

9:32 For the first time, I understood the many ways to interrupt. Thank you, sir, for your clear explanation. I heard these terms in college but didn't grasp them until now. In just 10 minutes, everything is crystal clear. By the way, tomorrow is the end of the semester, and I’m confident I’ll get good marks thanks to you. Lots of love, sir. God bless!

CONFUSED:
At 7:50 you mentioned that maskable means to which processor can't ignore and vice versa. BUT at 8:47 you said completely opposite.
At 8:20 you mentioned TRAP is maskable. BUT at8:53 you said TRAP is non-maskable.

Rest assured, your lectures are really helpful.

Bhaiya you have mistakenly spoken the opposite here at 7:50 about the maskable and nonmaskable but you later corrected it in the video.

I think, Maskable Interrupts is an interrupt that can be masked or Ignored.. and NON-Maskable interrupt must be handle But.. in this Video I found Reverse of it... May be I am Wrong...
