SUPER FAST Otis Compass Plus Traction Elevator (2-80) at The Empire State Tower in New York, NY

This is an amazing and ULTRA FAST Otis Compass Plus elevator. These elevators go as fast as the Aon Center in Chicago, but these are even higher. The low-rise (1-2), are just normal Otis Gen2 elevators, but I didn't film them because they were packed with people. The mid-rise, which is what you saw in this video, serve floors 1 and 2, and 3-80 (no express zone), it can stop on every floor. Just look at those numbers!!!!!!!!! They are LIGHTNING SPEED. The low-rise go like 120 FPM. The mid-rise go like 1,400 FPM, which is NUTS. The high-rise elevators, serving 1, 2, and 80-86, go like 1,600 FPM, which I didn't film either, because they were packed. The super high-rise elevators, which serve floors 1 and 2, and 86-102, are all glass, and those ones go faster than all of them (1,900-2,000 FPM), and those also have the Otis buzz, just like Marquis in Miami with the keypad thingamajigs. They also have a BLAZING LOUD voice. Anyways, enjoy this craz fast elevators.

I’m sorry but the 79-86 elevators are not even close to 1600 fpm & the 86-102 elevators are not even close to 2000. The 79-86 elevators are like 350 fpm & the 86-102 elevators are like 500 Fpm.
