Teofimo Lopez will defend his WBO and Ring Magazine titles against Jamaine Ortiz on Thursday, Feb. 8, at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Lopez-Ortiz headlines an action-packed televised doubleheader that kicks off Big Game Weekend.

In the 10-round lightweight co-feature, U.S. Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn Davis faces Puerto Rican former two-division world champion Jose “Sniper” Pedraza.

Its known that Teofimo is a very good athlete. But it’s clear that you are making people looking at what you want they look at. Too many old matches, easy wins, and just a few shots about loma’s match. It’s clear that you don’t want to admit that the match has been won by the ucrainian.

So I’m new to boxing, always watched it but treated it like the gf who was just happy to be around her bf on Super Bowl Sunday, but i wanna know when a fighter is hit with a knock out punch but the knocker is in motion of swinging a second hit and misses does it count as a miss to the judges? Primary example 1:35

To me it's not even really just his power that puts them down and even though he picks great shots too I don't even thank that's it, thus mfsmaking excellent connection with those blows.. 😅 but I will say, he called out tank davis and I don't think he's ready for that fight just yet he needs to get a little bit faster than he's been so far to beat tank. And I noticed he's a "walk em down" type fighter, but if you're not truly versatile, you can forget about beating tank or Terrance Howard both of which are in divisions Teo wants to hold titles in. If be don't know anything about the mental game of boxing he's not going to be able to get either of those titles.. I'll give him a 30% chance with tank, and 25% with Terrance ideally 21% chance of bearing them. I think the only other truly mindful boxer I can think of that's still in the game rn is canelo.. but we'll see what Teo does. This is just my honest take, but I do see plenty of potential for him being a champ at some point, I just don't want him to rush before he's ready fr.
