I dunno, I remember trying Java as a C# developer and constantly flipping back and forth between "hey this is exactly the same" and "Oh, how do I do--CAN'T".

I don't know why people hate java because it's verbose and type safe. I mean typescript was introduced to make javascript type safe and people absolutely love typescript over JavaScript.

Okay, Java isn’t bad… it’s just the people using it don’t use their brains, most people use the programming language for use cases that it’s not actually meant for which makes it a terrible choice to use, but when it’s used for the actual reason it exists then it becomes a good programming language.

"You wanted to be better than Java but basically you are Java" as a C# dev I laughed pretty hard. Linq and EF and MVC are great for readability and design etc, but the caveats make B seem very reasonable. C# has branched off from Java-ness quite a bit tho.
