I was here in 2013. It's a beautiful small town which carried evening pleasantness. The streets were narrow unlike what we see in texas, people are more social and were playing cards in the evening. Saw vasco da Gama fort and statue (he found the sea route to south India and we read in school about him). Restaurants were making food relaxedly around 8pm. Lots of tasty sea food but was quite salty for my taste. Found that there are lots of Ukrainian and Georgian immigrants working. Interesting was the menu in a bakery and my colleague who knows Portugal translated it to be world's worst cake and it was one of the best cakes I ate.
