I found your video more instructive than the Rigid's K-400 instruction video. When to use the reverse switch was easier to understand than the official video.

Autofeed is indeed a blessing, especially in bigger machines, but even in this size.

Having used this for 5 years I would definitely say it is my #1 machine, it is the work horse of my collection and an absolute must. I will say I’ve ran several lines while having the direction in reverse (I’ve also never had an auto feed) but if the cable binds up the bind is almost always inside the drum, while a bind while in forward is always outside. Running in reverse is also harder on the cable so I don’t feel as strictly as you do but I won’t say your wrong. I will also say that I’ve had great success in 4in pipe but your absolutely going to have to take your time, cause it takes forever and flush a lot of water once it clears. But for roof top jobs, small bathrooms, and 85% of residential problems the standard 75ft of 3/8 has been more than sufficient.

Do you have a part # for the 2' hand protector grip sleeve (in front of the autofeed unit). Is this included with new purchase or an add on option? Most other videos of the K-400 don't have that protective grip sleeve. Thanks

How do you attach the cable line guide to the autofeed ....the hose piece or the large spring piece that stops the kink line from wrapping around your hand

Auto feed is a blessing if you're going 3 or more floors up...the cable gets very heavy.

is that hose on the end something you put on? or where did you get it?
