Vlog 60 - How To Build A Bunnyhop Bar

Показать описание
Hi everyone, In vlog 60 I show you how to build an awesome portable bunnyhop bar for around £30. It's lightweight, quick to make and easily adjustable!

I got all my part from B&Q, other shops may have different tubing and connectors, if so, just see what works and use my video as a rough guide, the basic design should still work even if you can't find the exact parts.

To confirm, the parts I used are:
2 X 40mm OD pipe, 2 metres
1X 32mm OD pipe, 2 metres
1X 21.5mm OD pipe, 2 metres (the OD doesn't matter too much, just use a plastic that is flexible and won't shatter with abuse)
2X 40mm T connectors
4X 40mm 90 degree connectors
2 X 40-32mm reducers
3X 21.5mm (or whatever size used for the crossbar) couplings
2X 40mm pipe clip
2X Flat Strap
4X nuts and bolts

I'd love to see how everyone gets on with theirs, please tag me on social media with your versions, I really want to see how you can improve it too!

Please check out my next video where I'll show you how to use the hop bar to get your bunnyhops super high!

The bungee idea was intended. Great tutorial Ali cheers. A trip to B&Q for just a few quid = instant fun.

I have a couple of ideas to help make this a bit better.

1) Get 4 caps to put on the ends of your bases then fill them with sand and plug the end with expanding foam or glue/epoxy. That way you can have take them off to transfer port but still have a nice weighted base too.

2) I love the bungee idea and you could use caps on the ends as well and attach an eye bolt through it the tie the bungee to them so it's all kept internally or just drill a hole through the center of the cap and use a smaller knot instead. You wonder need much tension but you can adjust it easily with either method.

Ali! Thanks for the plans for this bar! Just built mine yesterday, and had to do it with electrical conduit rather than white PVC pipe made for water. And because 'm in the US, the diameters had to change just a little to have one tube fit inside the other.

But I tried it and decided to make an easy stability improvement with some pre-bent PVC electrical conduit instead of a straight bar for the outer feet. I took some pics, but not sure how to post pics in comments.

But... also just wanted to say I'm always stoked to see new material from you, and I always get a lot out of your riding technique tutorials. KEEP IT UP, and THANK YOU! LOVE YOUR STYLE AND YOUR VLOGS, MAN!

Going to build this right now! Absolutely brilliant. Slight type-o in the description: 40-38mm reducer should read 40-32mm reducer. Thanks!

This is the best bar I have seen so far. I especially love the portability of it, so I can take it to some quiet place and train without being disturbed. I can't wait to build this myself. Already have the bungee cord :)

All i need is a piece of crayon. I draw a line on the ground and try to hop over it. Liked the "hopability" :D

Wow dude that is simply brilliant I probably wont get the time to build me one of these for a bit but that's going on the to do list for sure as I keep fearing bunny hopping high logs and stuff because a case can go oh so wrong. I'm sure a bar like this would have me hopping higher in no time!

Really nice tutorial Ali! It's not easy to make such an informative step by step video without missing something.
Very impressed on how well you've done this video :)

Great vid. One tip to save time cutting and filing is to use a Dremel with a larger size cutoff wheel. Makes quick work of all the necessary cuts/filing.

really cool idea i like it that you do how to bunnyhop
maybe a video with sidehops or hooks? that would be very nice

great idea. only thing I would do is to cut a notch into each end of the cross bar. You can then pull the bungee cord into it and the knot will sit outside the pipe. Think this would make it sit more secure on the clips.

I may have to make something like that. I'm definitely looking forward to the how to bunny hop video, I am about the worst ever at bunny hopping and need all of the help I can get.
