Sir has done absolutely right, first of all you can find the value of current by using kvl or kcl or ohm law...

Second thing is that everyone is having doubts as to why only KVL was used, current can be obtained by Ohm's law also..

When you find the current using Ohm's law, it comes out to be 2.75 and the value of current found by Sir is 1.5 ... So let me tell you that Norton current is the one which is passing through RL i.e. I2 and what you are getting from Ohm's law is not the value of I2 because the current is getting divided into 3 ohm and 2.5 ohm branches....

So if you want to find the current using Ohm's law, you can do it but the calculation will increase and you will have to apply CDR (current divide rule) because 2.75 ampere is the equivalent current which is being divided...

CDR = I total + opposite branch r/ r of opposite branch+ r of current branch

CDR=2.75×3/3+2.5
CDR=1.5 amp

This is equivalent current (I n)

sir i have one doubt, can we first find the total current in the first step and then find the current flowing through 2.5 ohm by current divide rule
, we will get In??

Sir i have a doubt.
Norton wale first question mein bhi apne 1st step mein short circuit karwaya tha isliye sara current load resistor se pass hua tha abd R2=3OHMS (beech wala) se 0.but in this question everything is same, still why have you considered current passing through 3ohm resistor in the middle? I have exams sir please reply

Sir why we didn't not use ohm's law here to find In

Sir I(n) means total current so why did we used KCL KVL to find it why didn't we find R(eqiuvalent) and then used Ohm's law
