Pink Floyd, Star Wars, Star Trek, and the Nik Collection. Masters of selling you the same thing over and over and over again.

Good video. Initially I was really excited when I saw the announcement, particularly the new UI. However that excitement quickly subsided when I realized my most frequently used plugins in the collection still had their old, dated interface. Why not just refresh the UI across the whole collection? With version 4, it moves the Nik Collection even further away from being a cohesive suite of plugins. Once again DxO/Nik make it a difficult justify whether an upgrade is worthwhile :(

Great presentation. I’ve loved NIK since day one. Thanks for drilling deep.

Hi Colin, I would love to see more about these NIK plug-ins. I also love more to see about Topaz.

Would love some tutorials on Nik. Had Silver Efex since Single Buy and then the Google Package, just before the free version. Having seen your review I am now am definitely considering Version 4.

Love your video. I updated from Nik Collection 3 to 4 and installed. Not working correctly at all and I do not know how to uninstall and roll back to Nik Collection 3. Not seeing anything in the forums for guidance. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Or can you direct me to a human at DXO/Nik who can help? Many thanks!

I just got the collection and am running it on a top spec MacBook Pro 2019 16” with 32gb ram and the nik collection runs so slowly in lightroom.

Hi Colin. Yes I would like to see more tutorials on the Nic Collection. I really like silver effects pro and would like to see how it can be used by a master like yourself.

I am still rockin the OG NIK with PS 2021. I am still struggling with if I should update or not. I use a few filters in Color FX in my workflow for almost every single edit I do. And build custom actions for batch processes using NIK. The main things that would help me are speed and maybe some new control over some of the filters. I might have to try it to see what I think of the new version.

Definitely would be nice to see you go in-depth with the more popular modules!

would have been great if they would have redisigned the whole suite at least UI wise to unify things.

I just purchased Boris Optics and it’s a bit overwhelming. Looking forward to your video on that software.

Thanks so much for sharing! I dont think i upgrade, because of the costs! I payed for NIK collection twice! Can you please share some more plug-ins? There is one, I think Aurora? (Not sure) Thanks again!

Great comments and demonstration. I just purchased the upgrade4 and I can't get Perspective Efex working. Has it been eliminated?

I’ve used from the early days. Other than for noise reduction or sharpening I found the creation of a TIFF within LR a real pain ending up with adjustments across both the original raw and the TIFF. As such I only now use it in photoshop where as a layer / smart object at least it’s in the same tiff file as all other adjustments. The challenge I guess for DXO is the mass market is more LR, . So functionality aside the bigger challenge would seem to be how better to integrate into the LR workflow. I doubt Adobe will do much to help.

Wondering what the users think of Define? Is it really that much superior to Smart Sharpen or High Pass Sharpening?
