Four persistent myths that we need to stop repeating about US immigration.

This message brought to you by businesses, paying the least they can pay people, and robbing Mexico of higher priced jobs, due to the inability to compete with American businesses, such as the farmers.

As long as American produce is cheap, Mexican produce has to be cheaper, in order to compete with the corporate farms in the U.S. The corporate farms, don't want to pay a penny more in wages, therefore, they depend on cheap immigrant labor, preventing wages from rising. When there is a steady supply of immigrant labor, there is no wage demand, through businesses increasing wages to attract workers for the job.

Immigrants are hanging the economy, of their own place of origin. Mexico is a failed state, and wages won't go up, because export trades, have to remain cheaper than U.S. producers. The Mexican immigrants are keeping prices artificially low, through their cheap labor in the U.S. market.

So yes, Immigrants do take Native, higher paid jobs away, just look south of the border, and see how cheap wages in Mexico remain.

The only people who win is the politicians and businesses. The democrats love cheap labor, because many big businesses are union, Foster Farms, Campbell Soup, and many other's, who depend on businesses they buy cheap produce from, in order to continue paying high priced pension funding. Pension Funding, is a financial burial on the non-union workers wages. You don't belong to the Union Club, your back is going to be broken, trying to finance your retirement at 91yrs in age, if you can retire.
The Democrats want to boost the social security retirement age, since the Union's retirement is 20 years of work, for retirement benefits.

The third "myth" is wrong, economic growth happens when you increase productivity not more workers per se...
You can grow with less population...
And at the end income per cápita is a better way to know how good quality of Life is rather than GDP...look at India for example...

And the last one, consumption doesn't make economy grow but investments do cause they increase productivity...

And the video should mention, that open immigration is ONLY good in economic terms when there is no Welfare State, but also mention that when discussing immigration economics is not the only thing that matters but also culture...

If immigrants don't take native jobs, how come you can never find anymore a doctor in the US that doesn't have a foreign accent, or a gas station and/or convenience store owner that doesn't employ the whole immigrants family, even their young children? Many of our fast food franchises are now immigrant owned. Most these are here on visas, get government help and tax breaks while sending their profits back the the old country to help bring their relatives here on more visas to own even more. These immigrants on non-merit based visas have completely wiped out traditional American mom and pop stores. I will never "buy local" if that means buying from these essentially foreign owned franchises. Might as well go to Wally World and save a couple bucks.
