Just did this on my 2016. Ram upgraded the sensor, my original failed at 120K. I replaced with an original, if it goes another 120k, I'll be ok with it. Thanks for this step by step. Hardest part was the rear release. You really got to press it in, you'll know, because it will pop out. Total time about 35 mins start to finish, because had to keep replaying the video to see how you got it off so easily.

The quotes I recieved were off the charts! I bought the sensor, found your video, and I'm heading outside to change it out.

This worked on a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L. Fixed the P018C code and allowed the eco mode to finally work again. Awesome tutorial! 👍

I have a 2015 ram 5.7 H and i bought the MOPAR oem REplacement fix for 200.00 and you have to cut and splice a new plug and it comes with no instructions so you have a video explaining the wires because they say the pins not only change but change position in the plug. And as everyone should know once you take an electric part off the table you’re not returning it lol Awesome videos. Best out there. You have the tools and know how to use them

This was extremely helpful, thanks for sharing this. The small details like how to get connectors off was most helpful.

Everything was easy up until the fuel line release tool part, struggled for a good half hour, but finally got it and everything else went smooth. Thanks for the video

Thank you! Just swapped it out on my 15 Ram Express, other than snapping off the tab on the manifold side, it went just like the video

how do you disconnect the electrical connector on the sensor? my truck threw the p018c code and a i bought the replacement part to do the job myself, when i tried to replace it the other day i struggled with the electrical connector for longer than i feel comfortable admitting. even after watching this video multiple times i couldnt get a clear shot in the video of the tab you were talking about

Thankyou for this video. It really helped me get the job done. I definitely couldn't disconnect stuff like you. I struggled a bit. But. I got it done. No check engine light. Eco works and so does remote start. Thankyou

Just took an hour love this video saved me so much time thanks

It's actually easier than that. Take the tape off right next to the sensor and there's another blue connector like the other end and you don't even need that extractor tool .

I have a 2016 Ram 1500 5.7L. I've had a problem since about 40k miles where the fuel gauge reads empty any time I fill past 3/4 tank. I've found in other forums that this truck is notorious for the fuel level arm (inside the tank) to wear out the electrical points on the moving arm that tell the ECU the wrong fuel level. And that it seems to happen a lot after 40k-50k miles. Now my engine is coding P018c and recommends the fuel pressure sensor to be replaced. I have never had ANY issues other than the fuel gauge reading empty after 3/4 tank and once I drive around a bit, the gauge starts working again normally. Never any hesitation to start. Any ideas if the problem could be JUST the fuel pressure sensor or JUST the fuel level arm or a combination of both? Until the new engine code I was convinced it was just the fuel level arm inside with worn electrical contacts.

Great video. About 45 mins from start to finish.
The quick connects were a little tedious and I'm short so had to climb in the engine...
