His anger is completely valid. Imagine having all the work youve done for the past 8 years get trivialized by a bunch of kids on the internet. I not to say that all new fans are terrible, I found Steve Lacy's music from tik tok and since then listened to his other works. Just like millions of fans. It's crazy to think that people will drop hundreds of dollars on a concert for songs they hardly know. They're pracitcally slapping him in the face with money. It might be a long time before he can stray away from these types of interactions.

I saw him live in SLC right before he came out with his new album and bad habit, he performed Mercury for us before it dropped and the whole show was amazing and he was by far the best performer at the festival. And you could tell he really enjoyed it and even posted about it on Instagram. Now he hates performing after all the tiktok fame
