I have no idea who this story is about, I'm not British and I really dont care about it, but Helena Bonham Carter is fantastic in everything she does, so it'll be worth seeing.

Perfect trailer. Under a minute and I know everything I need to know. As an American, I have no idea who this actress is (I mean Noele Gordon, NOT Helena Bonham Carter), so I was starting from zero and by the end I am eager to see this film!

Helena Bonham Carter is so mesmerizing and brillant in her roles she is the muse of acting. She would turn into gold any movie she plays in. She is of the rarest fine wine the purest diamond in this field.

Highly recommend this. It is a lot of fun. Plays around with the truth a bit but does not go over the top. You don't need to know about British soap operas to enjoy this.

I grew up in Birmingham where this show (Crossroads) was set. One day I was waiting for a bus in the city centre when I heard the loud voice of a woman behind me. I turned around and it was the actress Noele Gordon waiting in the bus queue and talking to a friend. It was a long time ago but I think she was wearing her fur coat. I realised she was talking loudly because she wanted to be recognised. Crossroads was a very popular show nationally at that time. I also wondered if she'd been drinking (which can cause people to speak more loudly). That was it. I decided to turn back the way I was facing and not acknowledge her. I was only a shy schoolgirl at the time.

I watched it on my plane ride from London back to the USA the other day and I loved it! I can’t wait to watch it again when it gets released here. Helena never disappoints!

Masterpiece used to be Masterpiece Theatre, and its repertoire was adaptations of classic literature and history. I wish it was still in that format. Yet, Masterpiece does occasionally make an extraordinary show.
